The Aromas-San Juan Unified School District is currently accepting winter enrollment for a limited number of children for our preschool programs for the current school year. As a California State Preschool Program, we educate children ages 3-5 who are income eligible. All three year olds must turn three before September 1, 2015, and fully potty-trained, in order to qualify for the 2015-2016 school year.
We have two classrooms in San Juan Bautista: Mi Escuelita Preschool (3 year olds), San Juan Elementary (Pre-kindergarten) and in Aromas Elementary (3 year olds and Pre-kindergarten). Our program is Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and coincides with the school district calendar. We offer transportation services within the rural areas of the San Juan and Aromas communities. We offer free breakfast and lunch to children.
It is a proven fact that children who have preschool experience are better prepared academically and socially for Kindergarten. During the early years, the brain is developing creating a window of opportunity for children to learn and develop skills that will lay the foundation for a successful academic career.
